I had an incredible time at the Golden Gate Theater for Demon Slayer: In Concert! From the moment I approached the venue, the iconic marquee lit up the evening, welcoming fans with vibrant displays. The theater itself, with its historic charm, was a perfect setting for this high-energy concert. The staff was friendly, the check-in process was smooth, and the overall atmosphere made for a fantastic night out. Inside, the acoustics were phenomenal! The music filled the space perfectly, making the concert experience immersive and thrilling. As a fan of Demon Slayer, I couldn’t have asked for a better venue. The combination of the anime’s epic soundtrack and the stunning visuals brought to life in such a grand setting truly made it a memorable experience. Whether you’re attending a concert or a live performance, the Golden Gate Theater is an absolute gem in the heart of San Francisco. Highly recommended for both locals and visitors looking for a great night of entertainment! It has been a bucket list item for me to see Devo and I got that opportunity at the Golden Gate Theater. It’s a beautiful old venue that feels small and relatively elegant and the sound quality is very good. Unfortunately, Devo was a bit disappointing but of course, that’s no reflection on the Theater. I think it’s interesting that I’ve seen dozens of music and stage shows but this was the first time I’ve been to this venue. I’m wondering if the shows I like typically don’t come here so I’ll watch for that going forward. I’m tempted to give this place five stars due to the beautiful building, friendly staff and short drink lines, but the truth is, the Fox in Oakland is so much better. After the show, my buddy and I walked down Market to view the laser which added to a great evening for all.

The venue is so beautiful and well mantained, the only BIG problem is the location, just in front of a street full of homeless and drug addicts that can make the experience a little dangerous, specially at night.

Smaller venue in SF, but really nice inside. It is in the Tenderloin District, so you will see a lot of folks sleeping on the sidewalk. There are a lot of private parking garages nearby, and a lot of local eateries that don't show up in Google restaurant searches. Street parking is available by meter or plate. The theater is really nice, but the loge, mezzanine, and large women's bathroom don't have elevator access. The stairs inside are very steep. Bathroom on main floor is small and usually crowded. Fun venue to go.

Built in the 1920's, it is a great place to see a show. We sat in the Balcony. Perfect view of the stage. Seats we comfortable. A little cramped in the leg room department. Plenty of parking garages around theatre. All within walking distance. (We walked four blocks)
I went to "spothero" to find a parking spot. If you order online, you get 50% off the parking fee.( regular price if you drive up and pay.)
Parking runs from $40 on up without discount. )
Staff was very friendly.
You can order refreshments from your seat (before the show) they will bring it to you. You don't have to stand in the long lines for food or beverages.
Great place to see a show.

Had a fantastic time at the Devo show and overall the venue was great. Being able to order drinks from your seat was also very nice. But the bar ran out of beer a couple of songs in and the ushers tried to get folks to sit at first until the entire crowd decided to stand and dance. Felt like concerts weren’t the typical offering.

Comfy seats, and I hear you can even ask for a booster cushion if you're on the short side to see the stage better. Ushers were awesome; they're everywhere and very polite & helpful. If you go here for a concert, I recommend the Loge Row A (just so you don't have to worry about people standing in front of you & blocking your view). I'm super short, so even a tall sitting person is already tough for me to see over!) Only negative is the no elevator thing, so you may have to stick to the Orchestra/Main Floor if you have mobility issues & can't go up stairs (though it's not too steep & I didn't have any issues going up even with my asthma). I enjoyed this venue for the concert, since it's intimate enough not to have to rely on jumbo screens to view the performer. My sister also purchased the refreshments package, and even though it's like $50 or something, it's good for 2 people. And you get a tote bag, 2 bottles of VOSS water, and we used the vouchers for a couple cans of the specialty mixed drinks (mine had a bourbon mix & my sister chose the vodka mix) & two sealed tubs of popcorn. Those popcorns alone were already worth more than half the cost, so it's a good value overall. Looking forward to more Kpop or other types of concerts here in the future. (It's best to buy direct from their site or the Box Office, in case seat upgrades are available on the day of shows.)

A Broadway theater in the heart of SF (which I wouldn't call a good thing anymore, given how awful the area has become).

We enjoyed the last performance there (To Kill a Mockingbird). The entrance is no-frills - you walk in and basically step into the seating areas right away. The drinks and snacks were decent enough but expectedly expensive - $7 for a box of candy and I believe I paid $17 for a cocktail.

One thing to note about food and drink - the theater site says there's absolutely no outside food or drink, but we were able to bring in metal water bottles without issues. It would have been easy to bring a bag of candy as well - nobody pats anyone down or anything, and there isn't even a security checkpoint.

I managed to snag Loge A101 and A103 seats, which may be some of the best seats in the house - first row loge and dead center. There is a bar in front of them, so we used theater-provided cushions to see above it a bit better. The views were fantastic.

The worst part for me was how hot it got inside during the performance. It was in the 50s outside, but stuffy and sweaty inside. They need to crank up the AC for sure, but I'm not sure if they simply don't have the right equipment or choose not to use it.

Overall, the Golden Gate Theater experience is between 3.5 and 4 stars, so I'm giving it 4.
