Dr. Stein refused to take my wife and I as his patients. What kind of cardiologist refuses to take patients with heart conditions unless he is afraid to ruin his so called good reputation. I am glad we saw his true colors and wouldn't want him as my cardiologist anyway. Shame on him for calling himself a cardiologist. What a disgrace to the cardiac profession.

He is very concerned and involved in my health care issues and treatment. His staff is wonderful. The Oviedo office never has a wait! Even testing diwntown goes quickly and smoothly. I tried to set up a new patient visit with this doctor. I call left voicemail, get a call back. Doesn't ask to verify insurance. Instead the lady says she needs to talk to doctor and mind you NOTHING else...no age date of birth insurance etc..I said ok get no call back. I then called back again same day leave a voicemail again....still no appointment.

I get a call back this morning. This is what I should have been told the first time I talked to her. With her attitude and me being frustrated as I know I need to see a doctor. But now its not happening... so my children and I do not thank you.

On a poitvie I heard good things about this doctor from my step father and family doctor. Oh well not bother now.

Hopefully this will help other avoid the frustration I got from lack of information the first two times I talked to her. Only to get the information I need on the 3rd conversation.

They require your history before they will even think to accept you as a patient. You have to have a fax machine...Idk anyone anymore that has one. Or you can go online download record release and drop off or mail in...or if your one of the few fax in.

Once they get that if and only if the doctor wants you as a patient will they call you back to set up an appointment. Her words not mine.

I even asked if they require a referral and she said no.

So I suggest you have all records and a referral. I hope you all have better luck than me.

I rate Dr. Stein as a five as a doctor. The overall business as a four. He takes time to listen to you, then advises you. He is a very patient person, excellent Doctor and cardiac surgeon.
