The doctor was informative before surgery, and the surgery went well, I guess.

The problem was post-surgical. I got zero information about how it went, and the few instructions on how to care for my arm/wrist/fingers only applied to the day after. I should have had the splint (cast?) removed after two weeks, but the first appoinment was 3 days late with a NP, and then got rescheduled a week after that because of the storm (also with the NP). I'm surprised that they couldn't squeeze me in for the 90 seconds it would take to remove the splint. Hopefully my arm isn't damaged from the long delay.

On top of that, the person who scheduled the appointments was rude.

The doctor David Hirsch of the hand/wrist is terrible, cynical, sarcastic, disrespectful, mocking and not at all empathetic and/or compassionate. The worst experience. Well, he made me cry from the pain during the exam, he didn't send me any kind of anti-inflammatory or for the pain, he laughed in my face at my experience, he was cynical and sarcastic when he insinuated that I wanted to be without work which was not the case. I don't recommend it. It's one of the worst experiences with a doctor I've ever had.

Doctor Hirsch performed surgery to repair my broken wrist. From my very first visit I found him to be knowledgeable, experienced, caring and kind. He took the time to throughly explain the surgery I needed, answered all of my questions without rushing through my visit. He talked to me before and after the surgery, again taking the time to answer any questions I had. My follow up appointment today was more of the same, a talented caring surgeon that seems genuinely interested in his patients. I highly recommend Dr Hirsch at Rothman orthopedics.

I waltzed in to Advent Apopka after an injury to my finger/hand. Due to the severity of the injury, I was transferred to Advent Orlando for surgery. This was the first time in my adult life that I didn’t get to do tons of research on the doc and choose who I wanted. I was assigned to Dr. Hirsch and met him about 10 minutes prior to surgery in the preop area. He was nothing but kind and informative at a time that I was truly terrified. Over the past year, I’ve had three surgeries with him. He is reassuring, patient, kind, down to earth, and has amazing bedside manner along with a true sense of humor. To this day, I can truly say that I hit the doctor lottery the day of my injury, and because of Dr. Hirsch, I still have a finger and hand. I’ve officially “graduated” from being his patient, but I’ll be forever thankful for the care he provided.
